The smallest (LSO-XS (Xtra-Small Panels) is a very small, inconspicuous and comfortable brace that stabilizes the lower lumbar region with mild yet constant pressure providing
“intra-cavitary pressure reducing load on the inter-vertebral disc" (the Containment Field). Click to See Medicare Approved since 2003
The constant pressure on the spinal disc assembly is the key to stabilizing, and providing relief and comfort to the user.
To be effective the LSO must have opposing panels connected with NON ELASTIC straps to “pressurize” the compression field around the spinal column.

The Small, Medium and Large "vertical" panel sizing; this is the vertical distance of the panel from the bottom to the top...most women use the small and the most common size used is the Medium; all sizes will fit up to 52 inch waists: Small (Posterior 11 inches; Anterior 6 inches); Medium (Posterior 11; Anterior 9 Inches); Large (Posterior 16 inches; Anterior 9 inches). These panels are about 1/2 inch thick and they will provide some warmth for the patient Posterior is the back panel and Anterior is the front panel. Women do well with small or the XS, "Mini"; The XS "Mini" has very small, opposing panels (11.5 inches longitudinally 4.5 inches vertically), which are comfortable and barely noticeable when worn under clothing. Patients experience immediate relief right after application with these back braces because of the Low Pressure compression of the Lumbar Area and the direct stimulation of the Lumbar Arch by the Lumbar Dome built into the panels. The Low Pressure lifts the discs of the spinal column just like when you squeeze a long balloon and you can see the pressure transferred above and below where you squeeze. This is exactly what happens to the area between the front and back panel.
